The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is a law that outlines how states can use federal money to support public schools. This [ FACT SHEET ] highlights the important elements for parents and families in the plan. Schools and districts will be measured on student absenteeism (missing more than a couple days of school per month), student participation in state tests (law requires that 95% of students in each tested subgroup take the appropriate state tests), and more. calendar graphic2018-19 School Calendar: Note these key dates

A one-page printable version of the 2018-19 calendar that includes school breaks, holidays, and Regents exam days can be downloaded [ HERE ]. Families should note that Memorial Day weekend includes Friday off this year, and the last day of school falls later then usual - Wednesday, June 26 - due to the state's Regents exam schedule. Graduation is Saturday, June 29, 2019. Printed calendars will soon be on their way to every family with enrolled students, and any district resident may request a calendar by calling the district office at 518-792-1481.
